We developed our “bankon master plan” project planning and management method around 20 years ago specifically for complex large-scale projects and have continuously optimised it to ensure that all critical success factors are under control from the outset with a consistent focus on results. The methodology is compatible with all in-house standards and has been used successfully in around 50 projects. It has been tried and tested in complex projects with several companies involved as well as in projects with a budget of > EUR 100 million or > 100,000 PT. The method or parts of it have often become the new in-house standard.
bankon has been supporting its clients with more than 50 different types of complex IT projects since 2004. In addition to projects in the areas of digital transformation, implementation of IT solutions to meet legal requirements in compliance and risk management or implementation of AI and ML to automate processes, our core competences include topics such as updating or replacing core banking systems and the associated data migration projects.
Complex IT projects have a profound impact on the organisation and day-to-day business. This is true in the event of success and even more so in the event of failure. A 100 % success rate for our IT projects gives you the certainty that your projects will not be “permanent construction sites” and that neither customers nor internal employees will be put under avoidable strain.
Some of our customers deliberately use bankon in large projects with a high proportion of implementation as support in project management or test management, so that there is a corrective on the external side. Implementers often do not have the necessary project management skills or allow complexities and then benefit from an extension of the assignment. bankon is always committed to the client and ensures efficient implementation.
In the following project types, we support a large number of banks, primarily in the definition of requirements, in project management and in managing the service providers involved:
Digital transformation:
Projects aimed at modernizing banking services through the introduction of digital technologies such as online banking, mobile banking apps, and digital
Compliance and risk management projects:

Cybersecurity initiatives:
Projects to strengthen a bank’s cybersecurity infrastructure, including the implementation of advanced security systems to protect against cyberattacks and data leaks.
Blockchain and cryptocurrency projects:
Introduction of blockchain technology for secure and efficient transactions as well as the integration of cryptocurrency trading and management servic
Artificial intelligence and machine learning:
Use of AI and ML to automate processes, improve customer interaction (e. g. through chatbots) and support decision-making processes through predictive analytics.
Cloud migration:
Moving banking systems and applications to the cloud to improve scalability, flexibility and cost efficiency.
Over the past 20 years, bankon has built up particular expertise in the updating and replacement of core banking systems and the associated data migration projects in well over 50 core banking migration projects for a wide range of different groups of institutions, such as Landesbanken, savings banks, cooperative and private banks and specialist bank
